Duggars' Life Verses (Part 2/5)

Yesterday, we revealed Josh and Anna's life verse. Now let's see which verse has had the greatest impact on Jim Bob's life. Any guesses?

It's Romans 8:28: And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose (NKJV).

Joseph, the Duggars' third oldest son, also points to Romans 8:28 as his life verse.

Are you familiar with Romans 8:28?

  3. Romans 8:28 is my favorite verse, too. It's comforting to remember that ALL things (not just SOME things) work together for good to those who love God.

  4. My life verse used to be the same as Josh and Anna's, but recently it changed to Matthew 21:22 "If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer"

  8. "...all things work together for good..." Sometimes hard to believe! But I can see why he would pick that verse! It's a precious reminder!

  9. All things do work together for those who love God, so why is it that you have to do things on "Duggar time", not when you tell people you will be somewhere? That is not a very christian attitude.

  10. It's a really big bummer that the Duggars use the NIV. It's doesn't even make sense with some of the verses. At least the KJV 1611 is really God's own holy word to us. Hope they realize the KJV is the only right kind!

  11. Hi Abi!

The Duggars use mainly the King James Version, but they also use other versions, such as the Amplified Bible. We posted most of the verses in the NKJV, which, aside from the "thees" and "thous" is nearly identical to the KJV. We quoted a few in the NIV for the ease of all our readers.

    Thanks for reading!
