Where do the Duggars find words of encouragement? Each of the older family members has a favorite Bible verse that provides comfort and guidance through good times and bad. Last month, we posted Michelle's life verse, 2 Corinthians 12:9. (Click here to read.)
All this week, we'll be sharing the life verses of some of the other Duggars, so stay tuned!
Josh is the eldest son of Jim Bob and Michelle and the father of the first two grand-Duggars. He and his wife, Anna, share the same life verse, Matthew 6:33.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
~Matthew 6:33, NKJV

Thank you for sharing these verses. I am going to read them before bed tonight. :-)
ReplyDeleteThis wonderful family, and especially Michelle, continues to inspire and awe me. I need to pray for the grace to not raise my voice with my children and the wisdom for handling discipline in a more gentle and loving manner.
Many blessings,
Lisa

I love that verse too! My life verse is Corinthians 12:9... same as Michelle's (I think you made a typo in your post, you said 2 Corinthians 2:19)!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite verse is Great peace have they which love thy Law and nothing shall offend them. Psalm 119:165

Thanks for the heads up, Sydney! We'll correct it right away.

I like Josh and Anna's verse. It always reminds me of The Cosby Show when the mom Clair Huxtable sang the song inspired by that verse. It's just so pretty to hear.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great verse! Thanks for sharing!

I love Psalm 139, the whole thing, but especially verse 14 "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well."
