Advice for the New Baby

When asked what advice they have for Josh and Anna's new baby, the responses from the Duggars are both comical and insightful. Johannah encourages her nephew to "obey the commandments." Grandma Michelle warns her grandson that he's "in for a ride!" And Josie smiles and blows kisses.

What advice would you give to a new baby born into your family? What about a baby with eighteen aunts and uncles?

  1. We're expecting our ninth and I would say: Don't expect to be served like this the rest of your life! When you're married, there will only be one person jumping thru hoops to make you happy! LOL

  5. Well, it would be more than that, Anna has 7 siblings and some of them are married :) But I'm not sure. Probably turns out to be something like 30 aunts and uncles! And I don't have a single aunt!

  7. Josie's was the best - lot's of love, and lot's of exercise - those two pretty much cover it all, one way or another.

  9. My advice would be ....enjoy!
The fact is that's more people to have fun with and be loved by.
My oldest daughter is 11 days older than my youngest brother and they are both 20th months older than my oldest son. The three of them have always been very close emotionally. Then my youngest sister is 3 years older than my youngest daughter and they are very close. My youngest son is three years older than my youngest grandson. They have always been very close then all the grandkids love my youngest two and enjoy playing together. So my advice would be get ready for lots of fun and lots of love, and great advice from their 18 aunts and uncles.
PS: just got news grandchild # 10 is on his/her/their way! Yea!

  14. Take in all the love, enjoy the attention, appreciate how your parents care and want you to know Jesus and his love and are providing a Godly home for you. Be thankful and contented. Love your siblings and have peace in your heart.

  15. Jordyn and Jennifer sound as if they may have speech problems. I hope that those issues are being properly addressed.
