The moment we've all been waiting for is almost here! New episodes of "19 Kids and Counting" are officially less than ONE WEEK away! Tune into TLC on Tuesday, August 3rd at 3/2PM CST for back-to-back reruns of "19 Kids and Counting." And then at 9/8PM CST, get ready for 2 new episodes, Duggar Dilemmas and Digesting Duggars!

How Smooth is Life in the Duggar Home?

As organized as it is in the Duggar home, things do go wrong. According to Jim Bob, there is a “major crisis” about every 30 minutes. And as perfect as their system seems, there is always something left undone. “Realistically,” explains Michelle, “if everything happened on that schedule in one day, it'd be a miracle.” That’s just part of life. What keeps them going is that they have goals set and a direction for each day. “At least there is a goal to shoot for,” says the mother of 19.

Organization in a Family of 21

Can you believe that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar just celebrated their 26th anniversary? 26 years, 19 kids, and one busy household! Through thick and thin, the Duggars have stuck together. How have they kept their sanity over the years? Let's find out! And if you're as disorganized as I am, you might want to take some notes.

With 19 kids, how on Earth do the Duggars stay organized?

Their secret is a little thing they call "jurisdictions" (aka "chores"). Everyone is assigned a specific area of the house to clean and maintain. They work in teams so one person does not have to juggle dinner and 12 loads of laundry on their own. 

"Everything is scheduled," explains Michelle Duggar. "It's written out on a chart. It's in columns, and it's all color-coded." The younger Duggars wear "chore packs," little lists that pin to their clothes and tell them what to do next. Handy, right? The inspiration came from Titus2's Managers of their Homes and Managers of their Chores.

Michelle Duggar was recently awarded Mother of the Year at Vision Forum's Historic Baby Conference. As a gift, Michelle received a video montage of women across the globe saying thank you for her wonderful example of motherhood. To view that video, click here.

Would you Try a Duggar Recipe?

When asked "Which Duggar recipe would you rather try?" the overwhelming majority voted for tater tot casserole, so here's the recipe:

Tater Tot Casserole 

• 2 pounds ground turkey (browned, seasoned, drained)

• 3-2 pound bags of tater tots

• 2 cans cream of mushroom soup

• 2 cans cream of chicken soup 

• 2 cans evaporated milk

Directions

1. Evenly spread browned turkey into two large casserole dishes (9"x13")
2. Cover with tater tots
3. In a large bowl, mix cream of mushroom and cream of chicken soup with evaporated milk 
4. Pour mixture over the tater tots
5. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees

This recipe makes 2-9"x13" pans. If you are not cooking for a Duggar-sized clan, feel free to reduce the quantities.

Just last week, the Duggars packed into their silver bus and headed off to Camden, a quaint, Michigan town with a population of 550. The Duggars were invited by the village president, who is a a friend of the family, to speak and sing at the town's first "How to Be Successful" conference.
"Their message is an incredible story," said Harold Walker, the village president. He asked them to speak because of their "family focus and community perspective."

Michelle Duggar Awarded Mother of the Year

In just 1 week, Jim Bob and Michelle will be speaking at The Baby Conference: A Historic Family Summit on the Triumph of Life over the Culture of Death. Sponsored by Vision Forum Ministries, this conference will celebrate families and children.
Michelle Duggar will be awarded "Mother of the Year." During a special Ladies' Tea Time, she will be sharing stories from her life as the mother of 19 kids.
"I believe it is reasonable to conclude that there are thousands of children in the world who might not otherwise be here but for the God-glorifying example of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar," says Doug Phillips, director of Vision Forum Ministries.
