Josie Duggar is 6 months old today! Now that she is home, Jim Bob and Michelle reflect on the past six months spent in Little Rock, torn between their preemie in the NICU and their 18 other children.
"The first 72 hours in the NICU rock your world. This is like surviving a hurricane," says Jim Bob. The first six months of Josie's life truly was a roller coaster ride for the entire Duggar family.
"This has tested our marriage and family relationships. It tests the foundation of your soul," says Jim Bob, speaking for the rest of family.
The Duggars decided to move everyone to Little Rock in order to stay close together during this trial, but it hasn't been easy.
The family has always stressed that they are ordinary people with their individual weaknesses, and they really want their fame to be an encouragement to others.
What do you like most about the Duggar family?
what I like most about the Duggar's is how they hold everything together throughout this tough time. I'm so happy Josie is home with everyone and I will pray she stays at home...good luck and may god continue watch over all of you
ReplyDeleteI love that they're real. I don't really watch any other shows , but I know that there are some folks in reality tv that have on one face in front of the cameras and another for real life. I love that the children are not perfect--but that their parents are instilling great values in them.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that Josie is 6 months old already though!
I love that I can see a family bigger than my own (we have 8 children) in action. We don't know any families our size or bigger in real life and it's such an encouragement to see how the Duggars do things.
ReplyDeletebtw, LOVE the new layout. Very clean and organized looking. Would you please add a "Subscribe To" button on your sidebar? (see Add a Gadget in Blogger's layout) I would really appreciate it. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ginger! I'm glad that you love the new layout. I added a "Subscribe To" button on the sidebar. Great idea :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad Josie is home! that is where she belongs. Hope she stays there. When will all the dugger's be going back to there home in Northwestern (I believe) Arkansas that sweet and awesome big house you have?!
ReplyDeleteThey are so encouraging, and a great example what family structure should look like. God, Spouse, Children, and lots of love for all God's people.
ReplyDeletetheir patience and the way they help others! i wish that my family and i could be more like them.
ReplyDeleteIt's also a lot easier when TLC is paying the rent on a huge mansion. Most people couldn't afford two homes. What a farce.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about the Duggars is that they stay true to their values. Most people on reality shows are changed by their fame, start spending too much money, take too many trips, and fall apart. I like that they do ordinary family things on the show, like I do at home. I'm sick of watching people on TV go to theme parks, big cities, and take exotic vacations. That's not realistic for a family (like mine) with young children, and I don't connect with them. I love that the Duggars are inspiring to ordinary people.
