Wedding Preview Coming Soon

Tomorrow, just 10 days after Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell's big day, fans will be treated to a preview of the wedding on TLC GO. Come back to the blog for the link. Until then, here's a new video from the couple, filmed at their rehearsal.

Be sure to tune in to TLC tomorrow at 9pm ET/8pm CT for an all-new episode of Counting On. Visit our Showtimes page for the summary.

  1. I think I've put my finger on the main difference between the UP presentation of the Bates and TLC with the Duggars. UP gives viewers a more balanced view of the Bates. The Bates are given the opportunity to show how they are human and relatable to others, rather than simply different because of their religion or belief in having large families. Maybe the Bates just come by this naturally and this is the main difference between the two families. I've never seen the Duggars as anything other than one- dimensional.

    1. I think the Bates are very relatable too. I like how the men have jobs and work hard. The woman are funny and real down to earth. They are like us. I get the impression from the Bates family that if their show went off the air they would do just fine. They have an awesome work ethic which I really respect them for that.

    2. The women in the Bates family work too. Erin is a piano teacher and has recorded a number of cds, Alyssa runs a cleaning company with her husband and Whitney has just got her real estate licence and has a new job with a real estate company. This also helps make them easier to relate to than the Duggar girls as they are doing what so many other moms do, working to help with the families income which so many of us need to do.

    3. I am genuinely curious. Do the duggars have other jobs? I truly don't remember seeing much on the show about this. I mean I know John David and Jeremy do. And I know the "boys" work with car auctions and things. But do they have actually pay check jobs?

  2. I wonder if they're excited?

    2. That made me giggle! They only mentioned the word a dozen times!

  3. That's way more than the 3 seconds of side contact they said they'd limit themselves to.

    1. I think they could break their personal rule on the day before their wedding. It was a rule they set for themselves that was to help them remain pure until marriage, since their wedding was the next day I am sure they made it. Also they were being filmed and had a lot of people around, so they weren't going to do anything to dishonor the Lord.

    2. So rules are only meant to be kept when there aren't people around you? It's OK to break the rules when in public, with people? Boy, these Duggar rules get harder and harder to follow.

    3. Why! Anon 11:03 -- they're still 24 hours! A lot can potentially happen on that timeline. I don't think it's wise to break the rule until the time for vows. Then you are officially man and wife and you won't have to worry.

    4. Who cares? These are man-made rules, anyway.
