Due in three days, Jessa and Ben Seewald have yet to share the gender of their baby. Jill and Derick Dillard, on the other hand, just announced the gender of their second child, due in July. The Dillards did a scavenger hunt gender reveal with family.
Find out whether soon-to-be-two-year-old Israel Dillard will welcome a little brother or sister in the video below. He or she will be the eight grandchild of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, who currently have four grandsons and two granddaughters, with Jessa and Jill expecting numbers seven and eight.

IT IS A BOY!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad they shared the gender with us.
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!!! Best Wishes on the upcoming birth of your son!
ReplyDeleteHmm... maby poor choice of words...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your growing and beautiful family! May God bless you!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations
ReplyDeleteCongrats when exactly are they due in July. I was due July 20th but lost baby at 11 weeks 6days
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry I'll be praying for you.
DeleteI'm so sorry for your loss.
DeleteI'm so sorry. We had a miscarriage in August. It was tough. But God really helped us through. I hope you are doing well.
DeleteI am so sorry for your loss.
DeleteI am so sorry for your loss.
DeleteSo sorry for your loss.
DeleteSorry for your loss.
DeleteIm so sorry for your loss may God bless you.
DeletePraying that you have comfort and peace at this time. Losing a baby is so hard. I also lost a baby, due June 29th. My heart goes out to you.
DeleteSorry for your loss
DeleteI'm so sorry! I lost a sibling through miscarriage, so I know how it feels.
DeleteI have no words :(
DeleteI'm so sorry for your loss. It is truly one of the hardest roads you will ever have to walk. I too lost a baby. My Payton would have been 5 this March 12th.
DeleteSo sorry for your loss
DeleteI have a question. I thought Christians didn't consider this a "loss" and they would still have that child when they met in Heaven. So is it appropriate to tell someone you're sorry for a "loss" if they still have that child waiting? What is the right thing to say?
Delete"Sorry for your loss" is a fine thing to say, because it is a loss here on earth, heaven notwithstanding.
DeleteCongratulations jill and Derick
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! Those two little boys will be the best of friends, so excited for you.
ReplyDeleteI see Jill and Jessa haven't tired of trying to scoop each other on the public announcements.
ReplyDeleteI agree, as a sister I was always thought to not begrudge the light of my sisters. Would have seemed more gracious to give time and celebration to eachothers moments.
DeleteCongratulations Jill and Derick! Y'all are such an encouragement to me as a mom! Your love for children and willingness to share your lives helps me so much!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your coming baby boy!
ReplyDeleteWay to interrupt your wife mid-sentence Derrick.
ReplyDeleteI wish TLC would stop making them do stuff like this. It's hard to be genuinely excited when you'll have to film it half a dozen times. At least UP seems more... real?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! How exciting. I have a girl and three sons so I know all about brotherly love. I'm due in July too. I wonder what her due date is, to see how close we are. I find out the gender next week so she might be ahead of me a little.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Jill, Derick & Israel! Will they stick with the letter I for this baby too?
ReplyDeleteHope they don't name it Deuteronomy or something crazy like that... And Dericks hair.. He looks sick
ReplyDeleteCongrats on another son!!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they will stick to the letter "I" theme, or stick with places of travel, or go with family names? I personally think Isaiah would be a great name or even Richard, after derricks father...
Whatever they choose to name him will be perfect though!!!!
You should name him Judah! Israel and Judah...very cute in my opinion. :)
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing ! :)
DeleteMe too!!
DeleteI like that too!
DeleteCongratulations to Jill, Derick and Big Brother Isarel! May God bless your growing family.
ReplyDeleteAgain, something trumped-up for the cameras to film and the magazine to buy. Why not just tell the family PRIVATELY.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Derick will be filming handy hair care tips, the way the girls did? His hair sure is long enough.
ReplyDeleteAfter Ben's baby styling tips last week, that could be next!
DeleteThey could open "Benderick's," a combo baby styling store and hair salon for men! You heard it here first.
DeleteCongratulations, Jill and Derick!
ReplyDeleteIs Derick serious with that hat? He looks ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteAgreed....
DeleteYeah, I was wondering the same thing!
DeleteCongratulations! I'm so excited for you two! God has greatly blessed your family.
ReplyDeleteJust wondering, why is Derick wearing that hat?
Congratulations so happy for you all 😄❤
ReplyDeleteAww!! Congratulations!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's exciting news!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!!!♥♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteDerek's appearance keeps evolving. What's with that?
ReplyDeleteHopefully you mean him seeming a little bit healthier?!
DeleteDo you think he looks healthier, anon 2:04??
DeleteCongrats Jill and derick!
ReplyDeleteWhy now? Oh I know, Jessa is due in a couple of days and those 2 girls are all about one-up-manship. Jill isn't due until July; this news could have waited a few days
ReplyDeleteHow in the world is that one upmanship? If she wants to tell everyone what she is having, then what is the big deal? Maybe she just found out and decided to share it. It isn't like they were showing Jessa's new baby and they cut the camera to her to reveal the gender. Jessa is due soon, but it could be another week or two before the baby comes.
DeleteI agree, as the oldest of 3 girls I think it is gracious and sweet to give eachother the (sun)light! And also just to grow in enjoy eachothers glow! Especially these days we should emphasize on this!
DeleteMy sister in law did this to my husband and I. The day our first child was born she announced she was pregnant ( with her third). It was a little hurtful at first. But the joy of the birth our child quickly changed the feeling!
DeleteCongratulations! So happy for you all!
ReplyDeleteI like the names Deuteronomy Galations and Proverbs what do u all think.
ReplyDeleteIf it were those twins they were talking about so much, they could have been 1st and 2nd Samuel or 1st and 2nd Kings.
DeleteHA! Knew it!
ReplyDeleteMy son was having trouble with gagging. Turns out he has Achalecia. He just had botox shots in his esophagus and is doing great. No gagging since.
ReplyDeleteI do not want to be anoying but that will not be forever. Botox will work for around 3 to 6 months. Achalasia is diffucult and one time botox is unfortunately not the cure.
DeleteSo thrilled for you all
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteI knew nothing was going to be wrong with Derick. These story lines are so misleading. Feel like I'm being lied to, actually.
ReplyDeleteDid you see the show? They were saying they don't know what's wrong with him, not that there's nothing wrong. They were putting it on the show in hopes that some viewer would be familiar with what he's suffering from and be able to help them figure out what it is, since doctors haven't been able to.
DeleteStay tuned!!!!
DeleteCongrats Jill and Derick he is going to bring so much joy into your lives and will have the sweetest big brother in the whole world to be around in Isreal. Have you decided on a name yet?
ReplyDeleteProbably, but we will only know on TLC time. And yes you can call me negative but you could not if all of this would seem more genuine and more every day men.
DeleteCongrats! I'm due with baby boy #2 in June! :)
ReplyDeleteThe video didn't work for me. :(
ReplyDeleteAwwww!! So sad. :( Poor baby!
DeleteCongratulations!! :D
ReplyDeleteWow. They could stick with a country name theme, they already have Israel, maybe Finland this time.
ReplyDeleteI like the Middle Eastern theme, though. Very timely.
DeleteThey could do Nepal
DeleteNepal is a great idea they could call him Paul for short
DeleteWHat about Holland? :-)
DeleteYay!!
ReplyDeleteWhen they first came back to the states, it was stated that they would be here through the Fall and then go back. We understand that they are living in Jim Bob's guest house next to his. Do they still plan to go back to the mission work?
ReplyDeleteEveryone's studying the Bible, but they are definitely on "Duggar Time" now when it comes to leaving. Or adopting.
DeleteThe brothers will grow up together and hopefully be good friends. God bless and congrats!
ReplyDeleteGreat news a boy! A little brother for ISREAL
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you Jill and Derick!!
DeleteCongratulations, thanks for sharing. To all the family. Thank you for sharing your testimony of Christ.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteSooo happy for you!
They'll be like Derick and Dan!
I'm so glad you told us 👶
Wonder what his name will be!
Congratulations Jill and Derrick. Pray you don't have as long labor. The boys will be best buds... can't wait
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteI suggest for name: Isaiah Richard or Isaac Richard.
very nice name, but recpect. ;)
The proper terminology is actually "sex reveal." Sex is biological, while gender is psychological and sociocultural. I am not trying to correct you, but I teach psychology and this is the terminology that all of the textbooks and psychologists use. There is nothing wrong with using the word "sex," especially in this context.
ReplyDeleteI like Judah. But Bethlahem might be more to their liking:)
ReplyDeleteDid anyone notice something about this physician's examination room that I noticed? I question the cleanliness of this facility. A doctor's exam room doesn't have shelving with papers spewed all over, a bottle of Elmer's glue on it's side, etc. The décor hasn't been freshened up since the Brady Bunch was on TV with those out of date 1970s colors. Also another important thing...why didn't Jill and Derick have exam gowns on? How could this doctor perform a thorough well-check up with folks who have been out of the country while fully clothed? When he was examining Derick's throat, where he has an actual issue going on, he didn't even unbutton one button on Derick's shirt? How thorough is that? It's not. If this was done while the cameras were turned off for their modesty reasons, it should have been made clear. These scenes indicated that this was the extent of the exam. Did he take blood from J & D and order blood work? Doesn't look like it. How about a urine test? Nope, not that either. This was the poorest doctor visit I had ever seen. Another thing, since Derick clearly went to the doctor for an existing issue, Jill's term of "well family check up" was incorrect. She claims to have had medical training? No, I don't think it's worth much. I'm not trying to be insulting here at all, but genuinely concerned about bad information being introduced on TV. Please clear these things up.
ReplyDeleteAs for your reply, everything you mentioned that "wasn't" done, probably was done but for the benefit of TV time, it was all left out!! No benefit of the doubt for you?!?!?
DeleteThe didn't show them in a grown to respect their privacy.
ReplyDeleteThey didn't want that show on tv.
Speaking of Derrick's hair, maybe his middle name is "Sampson"!! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteGood one.
DeleteWow way to much time on your hands let them be a lot of th lot of that stuff you're questioning is none of our business and they shared a happy event leave it at that quit dissecti congratulations best wishes.
ReplyDeletePregnant and moving back to a country infested with Zika as well as having a very difficult birth previously and she's going to a third-world country where she could potentially give birth in? That's so smart and safe.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you both. I think the name Isaac or Isaiah would be perfect.
ReplyDeleteJill and Derick I most happy for you and love you both. But as one who really want to help I was thinking maybe it would been nicer to wait a little after to have announced your baby sex is and let Jessa have a little time to be special for her news? Please I am not being mean and I am older slot more than you and age does give a person more insight as they age. So please understand when I say we were so happy when you got married first and you had our attention for a while but now as the older sister give thought in letting your younger sisters have their time. God will richly bless you more when you put others feelings first though they may not even say it. I would like to see them also give you guys your time in the limelight when it is your turn. Love you guys. I do understand how excited you are. But patience is a virtue.
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad Jill hasn't been using the chock board with how far long she is like she did with Isreal. It would be really cool to see the comparisons of the two pregnancies together. Such a wonderful couple. Hope they decide to hold of on going to Central America til after baby comes. That Zetia Virus is very harmful to unborn babies.
ReplyDeleteJudah sounds nice. :) Anonymous @ 8:05, i think they'd go more along the lines of Zered, or somthing that sounds like a boy's name. Though Bethlehem would be a great name for a girl! -hint hint-
