Eight years ago, Josh and Anna Duggar became husband and wife during a DIY marriage ceremony at Buford Grove Baptist Church in Hillard, Florida.
In October 2009, they welcomed daughter Mackynzie Duggar, their first of four children. Michael Duggar was born in June 2011, Marcus Duggar in June 2013, and Meredith Duggar in July 2015.
One month after Meredith's arrival, Josh released a public statement, in which he confessed that he had been unfaithful to his beloved wife. He immediately checked himself into a long-term treatment facility, while Anna and the kids moved in with Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.
Six months later, the Duggars announced that Josh had completed his program and returned to Arkansas to "focus on rebuilding relationships with his family" and continue professional counseling.
Today is Josh and Anna's eight-year wedding anniversary, and it is the 13-month anniversary of Jim Bob and Michelle's announcement that Josh had entered rehab.
Many of you have been eager to see a new photograph of Josh and Anna, and the Duggars have finally released one (posted above). They also shared a short statement: "Happy anniversary, Josh and Anna. We are so thankful for God’s redemptive love in your lives."
Throughout this ordeal, Anna remained faithful to her husband. While she publicly shared the deep grief and betrayal that she felt, she never once talked badly about Josh. She continued to trust in God and be strong for her children, and she waited patiently for her husband to complete his program and return home.
We have been blogging about the Duggars for nearly seven years, and we know the family personally.
Seeing this picture made our day, and we hope it makes yours, too!

He looks so different, humble.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for them!
DeleteMay God continue to work in their lives💑
I am truly happy for them, this had to be so hard going thru this with the media following your every move, glad to see them back as a family unit again.
ReplyDeleteThey decide to publicize their lives on tv. If they wish for privacy they can always back off social media outlets.
DeleteAnna is a testament of a godly woman. I could hope that Christ would give me an ounce of that resolve.
ReplyDeleteAmen!
DeleteI can not understand why people on here keep saying Anna is a testament to being a Godly woman. God himself said divorce is permissible due to adultery. Therefore, Anna would have been the same Godly woman had she chosen to divorce. Nobody truly knows if the decision to stay married was wise or not. That's for her..and her children someday...to decide. But please, it is just a choice, not a "testament " of Godliness.
DeleteI agree!
DeleteAbsolutely! Her strength totally shows the power of the Lord.
DeleteI agree 100%. The fact that she can forgive him is powerful but either way she would have done right.
DeleteNot only is Joi's statement correct, but Anna's faithfulness to her covenant with Josh and the Lord is far preferable in the Lord's eyes. She will receive rewards in Heaven for her steadfast faithfulness, God bless her!
DeleteJesus answered, "It was because of your hardness of heart that Moses permitted you to divorce your wives; but it was not this way from the beginning.
DeleteJennifer, Heaven doesn't work like a collection of points and rewards...
DeleteI agree to the person who said that God said that we can be divorced when it comes to adultery and fornication.
DeleteAnna is a strong woman and a godly woman, but had she divorced Joshua she still would have been a great, godly, strong woman of faith.
Maybe its the forgiveness she has for him. She's not the 1st or the last wife to work on her marriage instead of throwing in the towel. For better or worse.
DeleteAmen anonymous @ 12:39.
DeleteI was wondering why no one mentioned this. thank you .
I love the duggars.. But I cant believe you r back with him.. What happens if it to your kids
ReplyDeleteShe never left him and it is their business . and if she can forgive him that is up to her not you or anyone else. I know they have a public life because of the reality show but even though they do somethings are still just their business! Let them live their life and hope and pray that the past doesn't repeat it self.
DeleteJosh wouldn't hurt his children. I'm so glad they chose to stay together; their restoration is a wonderful testimony to the Lord.
DeleteGod redeems people like Josh too. Its called forgiveness! I applaud them both!
DeleteI am of the thought that this is something that both of them will have in the backs of their minds...and deal with that on a day to day basis...I might do the same thing...question whether or not I could do what Anna is doing...it's a very personal choice that I'm sure she has gone to God with in deep, soul-searching prayer...
DeleteIf you love the Duggars, why say such a thing. Love is from God and if you have God' love in your heart, you know forgiveness and you know you must forgive as God has forgiven you. If you don't have God' love in your heart, if you haven't personally accepted Him as your Savior, then you will never know true forgiveness and can never understand what Anna has gone through and how God has upheld her. Think before you speak!
Delete@Robin, amen having God's love in your heart is knowing how to forgive. Jesus is our salvation and know one has the right to judge someone else decision, if you never walked a mile in their shoes. Anna's forgiveness was for Josh but also for herself because this is a time for healing. If we are forgiven we must also forgive and that is what brings glory to God.

DeleteI can't help but wonder if Josh did not get caught if he would still continuing being unfaithful to Anna today. A regretful man might have gone to his wife on his own to ask for forgiveness and not just he got caught.
DeleteMay God richly bless them in rebuilding their precious family.
ReplyDeleteAnna is my hero. I hope I never experience what she's gone through, but if I ever do, I'm so grateful I'll have her example to look up to.
ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine what she went, and is, going through. And that she has stayed faithful not only to Josh, but to God is just amazing. I both admire and am inspired by her. And I pray that she never has to go through anything like this again.
DeleteLove this. They both look so good!♡
ReplyDeleteJosh has earned back his right to be on TLC. He should tell his story. He and John should write a rap about the ordeal and extortion and blackmail that he and his family went through. They should take turns rapping and beatboxing together.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but if josh comes back on I'm done with the Duggars. Their shows are already boring and scripted. I think it would be better if they back out...for a while at least.
DeleteCouldn't agree more. They need to take a break from TV, this new series is so boring. If they bring Josh back I think this show is over. I definitely will stop watching.
DeleteSo nice to see them again! Happy anniversary Josh and Anna.
ReplyDeleteThis has warmed my heart...thank you for sharing...Prayers as always goes out to the whole family for their well being Mentally, Spiritually and physically...God Bless
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing love, for sure. My husband and I divorced over something petty. 8 months later remarried, because we realized we didn't do things right. I love a happy ending. Betrayal wasn't the reason for our separation, so I really commend them, especially Anna for working it out
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see them again! Happy anniversary Josh and Anna.
ReplyDeleteWell done and contines success with God's help :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! Love you both.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary Anna & Josh. Anna, you are so much like your mother in law Michelle. I find her to be so sweet and truly inspirational & very encouraging. You seem to have those same wonderful qualities, no wonder Josh married you :-) Your love of God is so pure and honest, it's a beautiful thing to see & read about. Wishing you peace and love, today and everyday. God bless you both and your beautiful family.
ReplyDeleteGod bless both of them and their children and their marriage. Josh is not by any means the only man on earth who has done what he has done, the only difference is he is well known because his family was on a TV show. None of us are perfect, only God is perfect.
ReplyDeleteI would love to hear and see more of Josh and anna. Thanks for sharing. Happy anniversary. . Anna is strong. Some day I would love to meet anna in person
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary Josh and Anna !!! God Bless you and keep up the good work. You will have a stronger marriage once you weather this storm
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary. Life isn't perfect we have to work at it. You got this because of God, he will keep you 2 together.
ReplyDeletei wish them all the best wed love to hear from them more?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations
ReplyDeleteI think once josh and anna have rebuilt their marriage and trust they should write a book about it. however they both need to stay away from social media and keep their life as private as they can in order to heal.this is just bad PR given the scandals surrounding josh.....
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary Josh and Anna!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your together still, Happy Anniversary form Stacey in Minot, ND
ReplyDeleteThank God for redeeming Love!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing this photo & message! We miss Josh & Anna & have been praying all is going well for them!!!! Happy 8th Anniversary & many blessings for your family!
ReplyDeleteLovely Picture Happy Anniversary God Bless.
ReplyDeleteI hope the coming year is an approvement with less stress and no more announcements. Anna deserves much happiness. Thank you for sharing the picture. I don't recall ever seeing Josh so aged. I hope he can create some closure from his personal mistakes and his family stop's suffering from them.
ReplyDeleteThat's the thing when you do what he did - you create permanent stress and the feat that there could be more "announcements." The time to think of that is BEFORE you try such stuff.
DeleteGreat to know they are doing well.
ReplyDeleteHas it really been 8 years ?! :)
I've been following this family since the first special on Tlc. Love them all.
Much love from Québec /Canada.
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF GODS LOVE AND GRACE. HERE'S TO JOSH ANNA AND THE WHOLE DUGGAR CLAN!
ReplyDeleteThis is the beauty of forgiveness and repentance. Josh even looks different! God bless them and their family.
ReplyDeleteYes his face looks more at peace. May God richly bless and keep both of them and their precious children and may His face shine upon them and grant them peace and love and renewed faith and trust.
DeleteWhat's happy about it, they acted on TV like the perfect famoly. And they lied about everything they stood for, his marriage he lied and don't get why people still think they are a great family.
ReplyDeleteAnna hasn't lied about anything. Don't clump them into one big body of wrong-doers. Commend the ones who actually choose to work hard at following Christ.
DeleteBEFORE the scandal Michelle repeatedly said we are not perfect. Did you watch the show? I don't think you did or you would have seen this.
DeleteWhen Michelle said, "We are not perfect," I seriously doubt that she meant, "One of us is doing things that are either illegal or immoral or both." More along the lines of "The laundry piles up faster than we can do it," or, "We don't always eat the most nutritious meals."
DeleteA beautiful testimony of God's redemptive love! God bless you both! Happy Anniversary and many more!!!
ReplyDeleteDavid was a king after God's own heart...he did horrible things...Paul was a murder of Christians...he wasone of Gods apostles... Josh cheated and was inappropriate as a young teen, God is going to use this situation for His glory! We all have our down falls some public some not. Their story is painfully beautiful! I'm glad we serve a gracious faithful God!Anna is a devoted wife, mother, sister, friend and daughter!
ReplyDeleteAmen. They are yet another true testimony to God's redemptive grace. He repented, she held on, and they're moving forward. In an era where it's so (sadly) "acceptable" to throw in the towel, these two have decided to do it God's way.
DeleteRight on, Shannon! Our prisons are filled with people who can be redeemed if they turn to Him.
DeleteYou think that's the solution to prison problems? Turn them out again with a Bible in their hands? Whoa. I live a few miles from a prison. I'm going to need a stronger lock on my door, if they follow your advice there.
DeleteSo good to see them. God is good.
ReplyDeleteI hope Josh never falls into his "sin of choice" again, but he needs to be monitored and held accountable, probably forever. He should be open and accountable to Anna regarding his whereabouts at all times and she should have all his passwords with the up front understanding she will be checking on him. All things are possible with God, but this is a powerful addiction and difficult to break. He needs to be open and honest at all times.
ReplyDeleteI think you are so right. This is a very good idea and it would not only help Anna but Josh also.
DeleteTo the person who says Josh should be checked on and Anna should hold all his "passwords" and he should be accountable for all his time......How or why would anyone want to live like that? That would get tiresome, REAL FAST! That shows lack of trust which means no marriage if you ask me. Not to mention, what almost 30 year old man with 3 kids wants to be treated like a child himself? I personally don't think anyone could conduct a marriage like that! Anna chose to stay, so it seems to me she better learn to trust him or call it quits!
DeleteHow many times have we seen someone abuse someone else's trust?
DeleteWhat kind of person would want to live under accountability? A person who was truly repentant, a person who truly understands his own weaknesses, a person who truly loves his wife. Whether or not Josh is such a person is the question.
DeleteIt can work like that @anonymous 12:39 Josh broke some major rules of married and "trust" is not going to be there right away again. He need to work with Anna to show her he is willing to chose the right path. There is nothing wrong with him being accountable to his wife who he put through so much pain and suffering. He has to work for the marriage also. Not just Anna. Yes, he will get tired of reporting everything to her, but that's just a price he has to pay for the choices he has maid. I know it sad that he needs to be watched at 30, but he made those decision with his own free will. And there has to be repercussions from them. You can just get back together and expect everything to go back to normal. It's not as easy as "Anna chose to stay, so it seems to me she better learn to trust or call it quits". Unfortunately it will take years for them to rebuild a true relationship. I know. I see this every day in my job. He will have to give her reason again to trust him. Hopefully they can work it out.
DeleteMay Josh truly allow the Lord to heal him deeply! The temptation will be a lifelong struggle! Stay accountable! No computers! Get a day planner! Anna you are truly beautiful inside and out. We are all just full of our flesh! You have done well! Know that you don't have to do this over and over! Just had to say it! Anna your a blessing and I hope Josh, you will go out and setve others well for the rest of your life! ❤️❤️❤️
ReplyDeleteMy prayers go out to them for complete healing in their marriage and I so admire how they have remained together and are working on their family.
ReplyDeleteSo encouraging to see a marriage restored! What a sweet testimony to Gods Grace and redemption. Not one of us are without sin. Only Christ offers redemption. Happy Anniversary to Josh and Anna.
ReplyDeleteNot your business
DeleteI agree with you 5:05 pm.
Deleterestored marriage between josh and anna or not includes their choosen faith. no shadow of any dought anna will still feel like she,s walking on broken glass an long time. hope josh will keep all his doctors appointments long term and ect.
DeleteI'm always happy to see a picture of Anna. Josh, not so much.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see picture of them and love the family! Hope Josh is doing well, he looks different in this picture. Looks like everything he went through has definitely taken its toll on him. Stress can do a number on people as I know that only too well. Take care of yourself, Josh and Anna. You have made mistakes, be humbled, but don't let what was done destroy your health and body. Mend not only your marriage and family but you, as well. God Bless and look forward to see more on you both in the coming years!
ReplyDeleteThey both need to start being healthier!
DeleteHappy Anniversary to you both! Forgiveness, mercy, grace....faith, hope, and love..the greatest of these is LOVE.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary to both of you .So Happy to hear from Josh. Hope to see the entire family again soon!
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary to both of you. Hope to see the entire family again soon. May God bless you.
ReplyDeleteGods redemptive love show in this pic! Happy 8 yr Anniversary.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary to both of you .So Happy to hear from Josh. Hope to see the entire family again soon!
ReplyDeleteGod's redemptive love shown in this picture. Happy Anniversary!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary to you both. Miracles happen all the time and I know God will help you mend your life together as long as you put Jim first. I'm glad to see you together. One day at a time. All of these neg people will have to answer to what they say. Keep looking up.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it would happens the other way around. Would Josh forgive her if she was the one who cheated on him ??
ReplyDeleteHappy Aniversary! GOD BLESS YOU BOTH, Anna are truly amazing women of God May God continue to bless your Marriage. Wish you both the best I truly see Jesus through you. May you have many blessed Anniversaries.
ReplyDeleteThis just shows us that forgiveness and true love is real. This was a terrible time in their lives and by josh admitting his wrong doings and going to a treatment facility for a long time proves he's willing to change..
ReplyDeleteI sure hope my husband doesn't show me what true love is by needing such forgiveness.
DeleteI think the commenter was referring to Anna showing forgiveness and true love (which was very commendable of Anna).
DeleteAnna doesn't look very happy! I don't personally know her, but look at those eyes!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Josh really does look different! In a good way! :D
ReplyDeleteAnna is awesome. You are a better woman than I, Anna.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you are a great person in your own way. No need to compare ourselves to others; she is not better or worse then you! :)
DeleteKeeping them in my prayers! So happy to see them together!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary Josh and Anna, God Bless you and your family!!
ReplyDeletePlease please stay away from the cameras. Not good for your relationship or your family. This family has grown up in front of cameras. I fear they don't know how to live away from them.
ReplyDelete100% agree. Josh and Anna and children need to stay away from the cameras for a long time. It will be especially harmful for the children to stay in the public eye and be subjected to public opinion.
DeleteWhat strength Anna has. Josh, hope for healing and sincere redemption.
ReplyDeleteI'm very happy to see Joshua , Hi how are you and I miss to see you. Not my business but I pray for you all time and beautiful wife Anna. Forgive is the best way. God big bless you both and your 4 lovely kids and all others families.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! Praise God Almighty for this day!
ReplyDeleteThank you for not posting negative responses.
ReplyDeleteGod is in control indeed!! Many more anniversaries in your future Josh and Anna.
ReplyDeleteJosh looks like he's been beaten down. Makes, you wonder what they did to him at that rehab. Glad you guys worked it out & stayed together.
ReplyDeleteHe needed to be beaten down.
DeletePlease take this photo down. I for one don't care to see Josh.
ReplyDeleteBut I, along with many others do.
DeleteThen don't look at him.
DeleteThen don't look! Everyone else here seems happy to see him!
DeleteAgree with orginal poster
DeleteA huge testament to God's unfailing and never ending love for His children. Keep fighting for each other! Happy Anniversary.
ReplyDeleteAnna is not only a Christian who talks the talk, but, she walks the walk. To be honest, I didn't like Anna, when she first came around, and I apologize tremendously. Anna, I don't know if you read this or not, but, you are what I consider to be an excellent example of forgiveness, humbleness, and sticking to the your promise to God (your marriage vows). My husband and I will be married 8 years Wednesday, and it hasn't been easy, but your faithfulness and the way you handled everything, makes me want to try in my marriage. I will always respect Anna, and love her as my sister in Christ. God bless you Anna and Josh!
ReplyDeleteHappy 8th anniversary Josh and Anna! What a strong and godly woman you are Anna. I'm glad to see you have come through this past year with the grace, forgiveness, love and peace and trusting God to get through this difficult path of life has to be so difficult especially with little ones around, I'm glad that you had a strong support system to turn to when you needed it. May this new fall be a season filled with His love for both of you as you continue to work through this as a family, and find forgiveness not just in the other person but more importantly that you find forgiveness for yourselves. May your little ones find closeness to dad and Josh may you find the ability to grow close to them too! God bless your sweet, loving family.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the photo - it did make my day! I have been praying for these two and wondering how they are doing. I'm still praying they are growing close again and can be, well, almost like they were. They seemed so playful and really in love before all this happened. God bless them. Please pass that along! Thanks, again.
ReplyDeleteAnna has gotten more lovely over the years. She has stood by her husband and will continue to do so but I do feel bad for her in doing so. She will always have to live with what he put her through. You can tell it has taken a toll on him, he looks aged and like he has gained weight.
ReplyDeletePeople keep saying he looks different.... he looks heavy and balding!
ReplyDeletePlease, he looked like that even before all the scandal started.
DeleteWhen I think of God's love to us, the fact that He sent His only begotten Son to die for our sins, then I see the love of God in Anna's heart.
ReplyDeleteShe forgave Joshua because God's Word tells us to forgive! It is not easy forgiving someone who has betrayed you.
Anna is a precious, strong woman of God...a wonderful Mother.
May God continue to heal their marriage and bless their family.

I remember watching Josh & Anna's beautiful wedding. And seeing their sweet babies being born. I'm so glad they are still together. I wish you many more anniversary's!
ReplyDeleteHope they are doing great! They look great!!
ReplyDeleteDear Anna and John congratulations on your anniversary. I pray God continues to give both of you signs of his love and that in life's many pathways no matter what it has in store you always cling to him.
ReplyDeleteIt is Josh and Annas business! I'm just glad and thankful that we have loving God who is forgiving. We all make mistakes and we are all sinners. Just because Anna doesn't choose divorce, does not mean she's not deeply hurt. Who wants to be a single parent? I know first hand how hard that is. It's her choice and it should be respected. She's a bigger women then me!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good picture. Josh looks different in a good way!
ReplyDeleteLet them without sin cast first stone and not one person can cast a stone because we were all born sinners this is a very loving and strong family and I wish there were more families like them in this world I'm not put on this Earth to judge people the only person that can judge is the good Lord above nice to see it back together Anna and Josh stay strong as well as the rest of the family God bless you all
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see these two! Anna has been such a witness to me with how she has walked through this very difficult time. Josh is also a witness to me with admitting his sins and seeking help. Not one of us is perfect. I miss seeing these two and ALL the Duggars on the show. I think TLC should allow Josh and Anna story to be played out on the show because I know what Josh has done and how he is trying to repent and rebuild would be help to many men especially Christian men. I read a stat not long ago stating that on-line pornography is one of the biggest sins that Christian men are dealing with. Happy Anniversary Josh and Anna and may God continue to bless you both! The fans still love and miss you both!
ReplyDeleteJosh only came clean after he was caught. How is that being a "witness" to anyone?
DeleteI. Just. Can't. This is unbelievable. He should not be on TV
ReplyDeleteNice to see Josh and Anna remaining together through a difficult time. Happy Anniversary! Thanks for the picture when you can would love to see more pictures of your family.
ReplyDeleteI am hopeful for them that they will be able to overcome! Love is the answer! <3
ReplyDeleteNo offence, but Josh doesn't look so well to me...less healthy some how.
ReplyDeleteHe is aging badly. Time to get your health on track
ReplyDeleteForgiveness does not mean that a spouse has to stay with the adulterer. If God's will was only for getting back together, then he would not have provided the Scripture allowing for divorce based on adultery. Not only do the Scriptures allow for divorce in cases of adultery, but they also allow for re-marriage as well. This means that God accepts and blesses the new union. I do not presume to decide what is best for Anna and Josh. That is solely their business. But all too often, faithful Christians are made to feel that they are not as good if they choose the God-given divorce option. That is wrong and unscriptural. Trusting God does not mean that you stay with an adulterer. It means that you trust that God's laws and God's way is best. And one of God's laws is that you may get a divorce for adultery. Each one should decide what is best in their particular situation, but it is no less loving, faithful, humble, or trusting to divorce (only for adultery). You may be trusting that God has something better for you according to this loving provision.
ReplyDeleteGod does not allow for remarriage, even in cases of adultery. Read that part of the Bible again. "What Gid has joined together, let NO man put assunder."
DeleteIn response to one of the anonymous comments: I'm not sure which Bible version you read, but you'll find in the KJV in Matthew 5:32, Jesus tells us that if a husband divorces his wife "save for FORNICATION", he causes her to commit adultery. So it's only on the grounds of fornication (if he finds out she's not a virgin and she did not tell him) that a husband is able to divorce his wife, and she is not able to remarry again.
ReplyDeleteLily and Ellie, when was this picture taken? It looks like an older one as Anna is much more slender now and Josh looks like he's been up all night as he did in those photos before the incident. Don't think this is a new photo taken at this time. Let us know.
ReplyDeleteJosh was caught....again. He didn't confess of his own disdain for his actions. If he wasn't caught, he'd still be doing them. Big difference. In all honesty, if Josh isn't "in to" this fundamental lifestyle, why is he being forced to live it? Parents, LIKE GOD, give their children unconditional love. If he chooses to be a more moderate/mainstream Christian, why can't he live that life? It's no sin to wear shorts, watch TV, etc...he would have to give up the infidelity if he wanted to remain married; that's not negotiable. I think the parents don't give any of their children much choice in their life...which isn't right, either.
Lily and Ellie I just want to say that you ladies, y'all have a heart of gold. Besides that it must be very hard for you to weed through the harsh hateful comments about your friends...you handle it with such grace, I really don't know if I could do it. I pray for this family and their recovery.Anna is such a kind soul, and I would bet that Josh will be thanking her for sticking by him for the rest of their lives and he will show his gratitude from here on.I think she will be just fine, now I just wish everyone would let them be.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words! We are blessed to have you as a reader. :)
DeleteAnd thanks for praying for the Duggars!
Lily and Ellie
I agree, I don't know how you handle and cope with all the harsh comments! They are really too much for me as a reader and I can't imagine managing this giant conversation for my family friends.
DeleteGreat job, Lily and Ellie!
Sometimes the "harshest" comments are the truest ones. And as Christians, the truth needs to be spoken.
DeleteShe is stronger than I would be! It's not as if he had an affair with someone he worked with or had a personal relationship with. He(a Christian man) went out seeking to cheat on his wife. He led such a double life I would never be able trust him again. Trust is such a huge part of marriage that I don't know how you could ever have a true husband/wife relationship again.
ReplyDeleteAgree!
DeleteI wonder if the brick background has a meaning? Jesus is the Corner Stone. The Psalm 118:22 was referred to by Jesus Matthew 21:42 and Luke 20:17, and more if you look at the cross references in Biblehub which is one of the pages Google gives when searching one of these verses.
ReplyDeleteThe brick background is just so nobody can tell exactly where that picture was taken. Photographers could sell pics of Josh for a pretty penny, if they could figure out where to find him.
DeleteChristians need to build their lives on that cornerstone and build one another up as Jesus intends for the members of his Church, not the another down. My hope is to be purified and built up into the Church. I hope I do that for others too. Not like Galatians 5:15.
DeleteFor better or for worse...
ReplyDeleteHappy 8 years.
Thanks for posting the latest picture of Josh & Anna! He looks like a defeated man who was once at the top of his game, well known, fighting for what he believed, beautiful wife and family but personal secrets revealed and feeling very foolish. Please Josh don’t take things out on Anna and the children. Your wife wants to help you and those kidos look up to you and think the world of their Dad! Ask God for his help and live a humble life.
ReplyDeleteHappy 8th Anniversary Anna & Josh! God bless both of them and their children and their marriage. I am not saying that what Josh did was right, but Josh is not by any means the only man on earth who has done what he has done, the only difference is he is well known because his family was on a TV show. None of us are perfect, only God is perfect. GOD doesn't judge us, GOD forgive all of our sins over and over, who are we to judge and who are we NOT to forgive! But to me honestly the only ones who need to forgive him are GOD, his wife Anna, his kids, his sisters and the rest of his immediate family! I'm no one to forgive him or to judge him the only thing I can say and do is Pray for him and his family, ask God to give Josh the strength NOT to do again the things he did to hurt his wife and all his family! GOD Bless Anna, her kids, his parents, the sisters that he hurt and the rest of his immediate family, please GOD give them all love, a heart for forgiveness, health, peace! I hope and pray everything works out for the best for this loving, caring and wonderful family.
ReplyDeleteThe whole beginning of your post you copied word for word from my post..starting from God bless them both..all the way down to the words "no one is perfect only God is"..you literally copied my post word for word...why? ( I was the poster :anonymous sept 26@ 3:01..everyone..scroll way up and see)
DeleteWishing Josh and Anna all the best.
ReplyDeleteGod is good ALL of the time. Trusting, praying, and continuing. Love you guys! Happy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteJESUS ( said ) he who has not sinned CAST the first stone. He can be forgiven. The only sin thats not forgiven is not believing in Jesus
ReplyDeleteI have prayed and prayed for Josh & Anna-- for healing, for complete restoration through CHRIST'S Redemptive blood. I pray that our GRacious GOD would restore all that the locust has eaten. May our LORD be GLorified as HE works all for their Good and the furtherance of the Gospel.
ReplyDelete♫♪ Happy and Blessed Anniversary, Josh and Anna!! ♫♪ ♥
ReplyDeleteWe as a family are going through a similar situation. my husband needs therapy and support to overcome issues like this. Though my husband did not come from a "balanced family" he still had bible teachings shared with him as he was growing up and chose the "wrong road"..... Pray that my spouse chooses recovery and overcome!
ReplyDeleteI will, Laura. Stay on your knees and in your Bible. We'll trust God for the rest.
DeleteBlessings that God has used a bad situation and turned it arounjd for good and blessings for Anna in sticking with an unfaithful husband situation. You are not alone in the battle.
ReplyDeleteI am grateful to God for how he's answering prayers fot their lives. I will continue to pray God's blessings over them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing their picture. It was encouraging to know they are celebrating an 8th anniversary!!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Anniversary. I still love and pray for ur family.
ReplyDeleteThey both look so happy and healthy!!! God bless them, God is so gracious and always willing to forgive us. I met her sister, Priscilla, down here in Miami last Thursday, the whole family has been such an inspiration to me for several years now. I appreciate this update so much.
ReplyDeleteShe doesn't look happy: she looks tense.
DeleteI've prayed for their marriage since I first heard about all that had happened. I have been overjoyed to see Anna stand for her marriage. Now that they are rebuilding I know God will as He always does, use this situation for something amazing in His name. I wait in anticipation to see Jesus shout His victory and bless others through this family. Faith in Him and patience in waiting for the blessings He has for all of us is my prayer for them and everyone here.
ReplyDeleteGod bless yall
As several posters have referenced Josh's appearance in the above picture, it appears he may be medicated- as in bipolar situations. If so, that may also contribute to weight gain. His facial muscles appear to be "slack" and his eyes glazed, unlike any pre-treatment pictures. Anna looks lovely and supportive. We should be careful not to make staying with an adulterous spouse the gold standard of forgiveness, faithfulness, or Christianity. No spouse should be made to feel "less than" for leaving an adulterous spouse; neither should they be pressured to stay in Jesus' name or for His sake. Likewise, it's unfair to Anna to put her on a pedestal for her decision when Josh has not yet proven himself worthy of her trust or her love, devotion, and loyalty. He has not even been back 12 full months. Time will tell. Forgiving someone does not automatically equate to extending them the same degree of trust or level of relationship.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the Duggars believe in using medications to treat psych problems, or if they think prayer heals everything?
DeleteI think she looks a little bit tense on that picture. It's obvious her wounds are not completely healed yet. But I really do wish them a happy life. They are young, and they are going to be together for a long time. They both deserve to be in a happy marriage. And their kids deserve to have happy parents.
ReplyDeleteAnna doesn't look relaxed to me ..
ReplyDeleteHer face and smile a little tense,
The way of her hand placement
I sure could be analyzed by
Body language expert...
I have been married 45 years. I married my high school sweetheart. It was not an easy ride because I believed I had a covenant marriage . HUM , finding out years later HE did not know what that was. I raised my children with the bible as a guide . HUM neither care and THEY had marriage problems . I keep my nose OUT of everyone's problems . ADVICE Mother and Father LEAVE them alone and maybe that son will hone up to his failures and get on his knees and reverently ask for forgiveness . NOT to you , only JESUS and his WIFE! It is their marriage NOT yours . GET THAT JIM BOB ?
ReplyDeleteLove that they posted a picture of them.
ReplyDeleteI pray that in a world full of misguided people, we can all learn from God's strength in our lives. I applaud Anna and Josh both.
Praying for them!
Why haven't we heard remorseful words from Josh if he has successfully been rehabilitated? Why hasn't he explained himself? Why isn't he working again and taking charge of his family?
ReplyDeleteMy brother had similar problems as Josh as a teenager. As an adult he went to prison for 10 years for child molestation. Anna MUST take the behavior he did as a teen seriously. She must protect her daughters at all cost, even at the cost of her marriage. This behaviour cannot be stopped by free will according to experts , he needs continuous monitoring and behavior modification therapy. I don't think his rehab did that.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I am worried about. All she talked about was saying her marriage. What about her daughters safety?
DeleteExactly. The Duggars see everything in terms of "sin" and "religion", so they think that by praying they can solve anything, but actually that's not true. Some things are real sicknesses and they need to be treated by doctors.
DeleteAll I can comment is that forgiveness is the best to live a better life and I love Anna's heart is an example for me of strength, and that if we leave Jesus lead our lives wonderful things happen like that He is the only one who rebuild, heala broken heart. <3
ReplyDeleteFirst of all to Josh
ReplyDeleteI had a brother who struggled as a teen as well our situation was very similar to yours.
You recognized your issues and saught help. You asked for forgiveness. O I wish I had that from mine. He has been on the wrong road since we were kids . Your situation could have turned out very different.
Every situation is different parents see good in their children they never think the fight can come from within. We are all human . You take a bad situation and do your best for all involved. Some parents try to shelter their kids but if they dont know it to be wrong were do you go from there.
Your family became very public. Your struggles was still there. It wasnt like when you were a kid and you could go to your family for support. All eyes were on your family.
You didnt have to answer to anyone except God , to the officers involved, and those who were hurt in the situation. However you apologize d to the world and sought out help on your own again.
I have heard how you look so ashamed so miserable.
Rise up you still are a child of God . Take this situation and turn it into something good . Help those who are struggling go into a better direction. Never loose hope. It doesnt matter what the world sees it matters what God sees.
To Anna
I truly believe God gave you to Josh to help him and encourage him. You are an amazing women and mother. Continue to seek the
Lord you will see how you will be rewarded.
May God Continuously Bless You And Yours
