6 Michaels and Counting!

Fun fact: Six members of the Duggar clan have Michael or Michelle (the feminine form of Michael) as either their first or middle name. It started off with the matriarch of the family, Michelle Annette Ruark, born in 1966. In 1991, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar had their second daughter and named her Jill Michelle Duggar. Eight pregnancies later, and Jason Michael Duggar was born. In 2011, Josh and Anna Duggar had their first son and named him Michael James Duggar. In June 2014, Jill Michelle Duggar married Derick Michael Dillard, and in November 2014, Jessa Lauren Duggar married Benjamin Michael Seewald.

    My husband is Ryan Michael and I am Laura Michelle. It was always special to me. I'm sure Derrick and Jill find it special too

    Probably. My Michael James is 21 years old and I think Michael was the number one boy's name around that time.

      Maybe because of all the negative comments and speculation on her due date and belly size.Some women get bigger right away and then mellow out at the end, she is right on target.Also, Derrick was a very large newborn...some folks just dont get it...too bad...and so sad.

      Maybe because so many of these responses have been about stopping so many things about Derrick and Jill and babies. We need to be careful what we ask for because we may get it.

    Yes I think there well be more Michelles and Michaels in the future. Also Ben's dad's name is Michael and Anna's dad's name is Michael

    My fathers name is Michael James. My middle name is Michelle and my fiancée's middle name is Michael. No doubt the future holds some Michael/Michelle names :) It's nice to see traditions with names continuing on in a family!

    Micheal is getting a little bit too popular in my opinion for my taste!Isn't it cool that both Jill and Jessa married guys that both had Micheal as their middle name?What a coincidence!

    My name is Christine Michelle and my husbands name is Christopher Michael. Our daughters middle name is Michelle and our soon to be born sons middle name will be Michael. Thought it was neat to all have the same middle name!

    It seems that most are tired of the pictures of the married ones and wanting more about the others who are still at home. We all want to hear things that are newsworthy, such as this, even if they got his middle name wrong.

    Yup, Anna's dad and Ben's dad are both Michaels. I wouldn't be surprised if both Jill and Jessa use the name Michael at some point.

    There are also 5 James in the family: James Lee, James Robert, Joshua James, James Andrew and Michael James.

    There are also 3 Roberts: James Robert, Jedediah Robert and Jeremiah Robert. Also, 3 Anna names - Michelle Annette, Joy-Anna and Anna Renee.

    Also, there are 4 names based off the Hebrew name Yochanan - John, Jana, Jackson and Johannah.

    Oh, and Joseph, Josiah and Josie have the same root, too!
